The recently restored Moinho do Bengado (Windmill) is a testament to the time when wind energy was used to grind cereals to produce flour.
The date of its construction is not known, but several testimonies confirm that the mill was in operation until 1955.
This windmill is fixed and Mediterranean type. Built in stone and cylindrical in shape, it has an area of 42.50 m2.
The Moinho de Bengado is an example of a halter mill, the oldest rope traction system for rotating the roof to the best quadrant.
